Chemistry 11 Course Outline
Teacher: Mr. Dhaliwal
Pre-requisite Courses: Science 10 and Math 10
Chemistry 11 is an academic course that requires students to analyze qualitative and quantitative changes that occur in chemical reactions. Students will investigate through problem solving in lab experiments, daily questions, and online extension activities. The course is divided into 9 Units (Safety, Activities of Science, Principles of Chemistry, Numbers and Measurement, The Mole, Chemical Reactions, Stoichiometry, Solutions, and Organic Chemistry). Learning how to use Moles in chemistry calculations is a major focus in this course. Students will be assessed through daily assignments, quizzes, labs, projects and tests. The expectations are high in this course, so students coming into the course should have at least 65% or higher in their Science 10 and Math 10 courses.
